The Project Manager will be responsible for managing through to completion, all aspects of assigned Health Information Technology (HIT) projects. This will include technical and administrative processes as well as discovery, planning, oversight and evaluation. The Project Manager will identify and utilize “best practice” methodologies and work closely with internal stakeholders, partners, clients, third party organizations, and consultants to ensure successfully achieving project goals. The Project Manager will ultimately be responsible for the assuring the projects are on-budget, on-time and delivered with the expected value to the stakeholders.Responsibilities:Assesses stakeholder readiness, develops a project plan, and assigns resources as needed.Develops project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with project sponsor(s).Creates and executes project work plans and revises, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements. Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate software applications.Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel then manages through to timely completion. Optimizes use of all available technology and resources to achieve project deliverables.Demonstrates initiative and displays ingenuity in anticipating and meeting unexpected situations; develops creative solutions to challenging problems.Partners successfully with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are met.Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Liaise with project sponsor(s) and stakeholders on a regular basis.Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards. Ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.Maintains all appropriate project deliverables and responsibilities; for example, project scheduling, risk management, change management, issue management and status reporting.Oversees all aspects of execution, including identifying and uses non-traditional methods to solve problems that would otherwise delay project and or milestone achievement.Identifies, analyzes, and escalates issues in a timely manner, as needed.Assists in the resolution of issues and elimination of roadblocks arising within a project to ensure timely completion of tasks, escalating issues appropriately and in a timely manner.Ensures project documents are complete, current, stored and tracked appropriately.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in a business or health-related field required. Master's degree preferredPMP certification preferredFive (5) years of professional work experience in health-related field or facility (Health IT organization preferred).Experience working with ONC certified products, preferredPassionate about project managementManages change effectivelyPlans effectively and acts efficientlyUtilizes traditional and innovative project management tools, charts, and techniquesDemonstrates ability to take appropriate action to keep project on track.Demonstrates tolerant attitude toward ambiguity and continued changePossesses a customer-first orientationAdheres to business prioritiesCritical thinking skillsHigh level of emotional intelligence
