The CI Specialist assists in the coordination of Lean transformational activities, champions change and is a resource for Lean improvement. This position provides leadership, guidance, and follow-through to support the completion of departmental sustainment goals and objectives by delivering breakthrough results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Works closely with CI manager and Plant Leadership to:Build an employee engaged work environmentDevelop tracking tools and measures to support CI initiativesProvide and teach Continual Improvement mindset and techniques to employeesAnalyze data to identify opportunitiesFacilitate improvement events to drive sustainable initiativesParticipate in more complex improvement eventsWork individually or as a team member to perform and teach root cause analysisEstablish and drive productivity pipeline projectsManage multiple projects at the same timeSupport peers and colleagues to drive performance across the entire organizationKEY COMPETENCIES
Knowledge and experience with ERP (SAP preferred)Skilled in:
Excellent oral and written communication skillsProblem-solving skills and the ability to work with autonomyAccuracy and detail-orientedAbility to:
Effectively communicate to give and acknowledge instructions/problemsWrite routine reports and correspondenceInterpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule formWork well with others in stressful situations and meet deadlines as necessaryHandle several priorities and tasksWork in a fast-paced environmentEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two (2) years of college courses preferredTwo (2) or more years working in a manufacturing environment preferredExposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or WCMSponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
