As a Water Quality Supervisor, you’ll lead a dedicated, skilled team in ensuring the production of quality water for our life support systems and water treatment facilities. In your role, you will help us consistently deliver the highest standards of guest service and animal care. You will:Maintain the preventative maintenance, repair and replacement program of approximately 4,000 pumps in all 3 parksDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors that provide service and parts for all different types of pumpsMaintain and manage proper inventory and ordering of materials to ensure smooth operation of the departmentResponsible for oversight of labor allocation including, but not limited to, maintaining weekly ambassador schedules, ensuring compliance with posted schedules, educating ambassadors about time management and Seaport navigationMaintain and provide support to the Water Quality Leader for budget controlEffectively communicate with the team and maintain positive and motivating department moraleResponsible for ensuring team is trained and prepared to respond to emergency procedures; accountable for informing senior leadership of any emergency, employee issue, and/or injury/incidentResponsible for transitioning and training of new hires into the department as well as coaching opportunities for current ambassadorsAssist and interact with other departments as requiredPerform other duties as assigned.What it takes to succeed

Must be at least 18 years of ageMust have a high school diploma or equivalentMust have a minimum 5 years’ experience working with various pumps, pump repair and pump maintenanceMust have a minimum 2 years’ of leadership experience in Water Quality or similar Maintenance ShopMust have fluent knowledge of fluid hydraulics, advanced water treatment processes, mechanical pipe fitting principles and practicesMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have completed centrifugal pump course and possess basic hydraulic knowledgeMust be able to complete provided CPR training/certificationMust be able to lift, push and pull 80 poundsMust be able to swim and work in/around waterMust be comfortable working at heightsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to bend, reach, twist, and turn with complete flexibilityMust be comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrationsMust be able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremesMust be able to train on and properly use protective gearMust be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odorMust be comfortable working around chemicalsMust be able to train on and properly use protective gearMust be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shiftsWhat else is important:

Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferredAquatic Certified Pool Operators certificate or an Aquatic Facilities Operators certificate preferredCrane certification, forklift certification, high reach certification and rigging experience preferredThe perks of the position:
