Street Medicine Program Manager
The Street Medicine Program Manager is responsible for strategic leadership, operational management, and oversight of the Street Medicine Program. This role involves coordinating a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive medical care, developing program
policies, managing resources, and fostering partnerships with community organizations. The manager will ensure that the program delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with the organization's missions and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recommends and implements strategies to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency for the Street Medicine Program.
Ensure the program's goals and objectives are met and aligned with organization's priorities, mission and values.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Street Medicine Program, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation
Monitor and report on program performance metrics and outcomes
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
Advocate for the needs of the unhoused population and represent the program in community forums and meetings
Collaborate with partners to develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies so that OCH is working within the broader community response
Provide training, support, professional development opportunities to ensure street medicine staff maximize efficiency, and creates a positive, collaborative team environment.
Work with leadership to develop and manage the street medicine program budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources and the financial sustainability of the program.
Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives, including clinical outcomes
Utilize data as a tool to assist in program evaluations, monitor program performance, and drive improvements when necessary Conduct regular program evaluations and use data to drive improvements
Ensure patient satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints
Supports outreach to unhoused encampments to ensure that individuals experiencing homelessness are aware about our services.
TRAVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
Primarily for community engagement positions
If present, will require current driver's license and insurance, and, depending on volume, review of Motor Vehicle Record, if candidate drives; other forms of transportation acceptable if needed as an accommodation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, including strategic planning, budgeting, and staff supervision.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multidisciplinary team environment.
Excellent communication and advocacy skills
Commitment to serving vulnerable populations and addressing health disparities.
