Position Information

Under the direction of the Director of Academic Personnel Data and Technology, the Academic Personnel Data, Technology, and Process (DTP) Analyst will provide analytical and technical expertise to assigned data, technology, process/procedure, and policy items within the Academic Personnel Office portfolio. This position will serve as a lead for data, technology, process/procedure and policy items related to the recruitment and appointment of academics. This position will also work cross-functionally with other leads within the academic personnel office.Please be advised that candidates may be required to submit a work sample or conduct a presentation as a part of the interview process.The maximum salary is budgeted at $120,000.As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions. Knowledge relating to the design of processes and software across the organization. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Interpersonal and communications skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds. Advanced knowledge of business processes and procedures. Advanced knowledge of related areas of IT. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills. Demonstrated testing and test planning skills. Demonstrated skills needed to develop process and system implementation plans. Advanced skills and methodologies associated with process and software design, modification and implementation.Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with process analysis, systems analysis, process architectures and systems analysis methodologies and practices including traditional waterfall, Agile, Agile Scrum, UML, UML Enterprise, et cetera. Understanding and skill in complex process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description. Demonstrated knowledge of UCR and Academic Personnel Office systems. Proficient to advanced analytical, organizational, and problem recognition/avoidance/resolution skills. Proficient to advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including highly effective negotiation skills, highly developed political acumen, and ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Proficient to advanced project management skills to effectively manage complex or highly specialized projects.Additional Information
