Key Responsibilities

Demand and Capacity Planning:

Forecast production demands using the MRP system, aligning material and capacity needs.

Strategic Leadership:

Lead the site’s Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, with a focus on long-term production goals.

Operational Collaboration:

Partner with operations to assess and plan labor and machinery capacity to meet production requirements.

Proactive Risk Management:

Identify and address potential bottlenecks in capacity and material availability.

Production Coordination:

Develop and communicate detailed production schedules to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

MRP System Optimization:

Adjust MRP settings for optimal lot sizing, purchasing, forecasting, and inventory safety stock levels.

Engineering Integration:

Ensure a seamless transition in materials and production processes during engineering changes and new projects.

Procurement Leadership:

Manage purchasing activities and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.

Supply Chain Reporting:

Provide regular updates on supply chain performance and address any issues impacting production timelines.

Required Qualifications

Analytical Skills:

Strong ability to analyze complex scenarios and develop effective solutions.

ERP/MRP Expertise:

Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor familiarity is a plus.

Technical Proficiency:

High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills with effective negotiation abilities.

Organizational Acumen:

Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Industry Experience:

At least 5 years in supply chain or materials management, preferably in aerospace.

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred; professional certifications like CPIM or CSCP are a plus.
