The Art Art History Department has an opportunity for a Student Project Assistant to assist with a number of curatorial and publications projects. The candidate will provide administrative support in the development of exhibitions and programs; assist in the maintenance of project archives; and assist during special exhibition openings and public programs.Responsibilities may include sourcing and procuring materials and working on marketing materials for exhibitions; scanning, documenting materials, and uploading materials to site/server; attending exhibition openings and public programs and helping with installation and breakdown.Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Art Art History degree programs, but students in other departments with a passion for exhibition making and archives are also welcomed to apply.Desired Qualifications

Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.Work Schedule
Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of department.Advertised Salary
