Workforce Funding DepartmentJob Summary/Basic Function:

Support enrollment, retention, and completion for eligible Opportunity Grant program students in approved technical programs of study.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Student SupportProvide intake, determine eligibility, and enroll students into the Opportunity Grant program.Use a case-management model to increase retention, program completion, and employment.Assist students with resolving academic and financial difficulties, navigating college processes, and accessing community-based resources.Develop and implement student success programs and outreach activities, including in-person and online workshops/orientations.Assist in completing financial aid applications and refer students to alternative funding sources.Maintain regular communication with students through various methods including phone, email, mail, and in-person meetings.Data TrackingDevelop and maintain program and student tracking systems, utilizing ctcLink to code Opportunity Grant student groups, pulling queries, and compiling and analyzing data.Generate reports required by the college, state, and federal agencies.Assist the Director in creating the Opportunity Grant budgets consistent with student needs, college policies, and state regulations.Perform reconciliation, billing, and monitoring of all assigned programs.Determine eligibility and award amounts for Opportunity Grant funding, utilizing ctcLink, and collaborating with financial aid, bookstore, cashier, and other Workforce funding sources.Program CoordinationCoordinate daily operations of the Opportunity Grant program, collaborating with Workforce Funding and Financial Aid teams to develop strategies supporting student and program objectives.Participate in continuous program improvement planning, recommending initiatives to enhance program outcomes and advocating for program expansion.Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and regulations related to the Opportunity Grant program.Strategize and coordinate with the Workforce Funding team and other internal and external partners to improve services, leverage resources, and assist students in reaching their educational and employment goals.General DutiesProvide Workforce Funding front desk coverage on a rotating schedule.Represent the College at professional and community events, participating in college system professional conferences and in-service activities.Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations and meet the needs of the campus.Minimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:Associate’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent training and experience).Two years of experience in student support services, case management, or a related area.Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to maintain a high level of confidential information.Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment.Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately within deadlines.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to the Opportunity Grant.Knowledge or experience with ctcLink.One year or more of experience working in a college or university setting.Physical Demands:Everett Community College follows the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provides the following information as a guideline for applicants:Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, printers, and telecommunication devices.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.Ability to prepare and present detailed reports, both in written and verbal formats.Ability to exchange information on the phone, through video conferencing, or in person.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing routine tasks.Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.Work Hours:
