Summary:

You will serve as a MANAGER in the Systems Engineering Department (E), Energetic Systems Division (E1), within the Land & Expeditionary Systems Branch (E15) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.Responsibilities:Serve as Branch manager responsible for management, supervision, and oversight of land weapons systems.Supervise a branch of engineers, scientists, logisticians, and technicians.Conduct performance reviews, establish development and training plans, assign tasking, review and monitor performance.Establish and monitor the cost, schedule, performance, and quality on assigned projects.Support the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.Qualifications:In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector). Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer, providing programmatic and technical leadership to manage projects involving research, development, manufacturing, or testing of ordnance or energetic materials for the technological advancement and fielding sustainment of a weapon system program.Education:Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual for the 08XX Series:Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences.Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, with at least one year of professional engineering experience.Additional Information:
