Job Summary:

This position will assist the Director of Admissions in directing and supervising the Office of Admissions. The primary focus of the position will be strategizing and managing recruitment efforts for the College. The position will directly supervise the Recruiter/Admissions Advisors, develop and implement recruitment strategies, collaborate with departments across campus, and manage prospect and applicant communication campaigns.

Job Duties:

Directly supervise the Recruiter/Admissions Advisors and assist the Director of Admissions in directing and supervising all functions of the Admissions Office.

Assist the Director of Admissions in overseeing day-to-day operations of the admissions office, including managing application processes, ensuring compliance with college policies, and maintaining accurate records.

Coordinate and implement the College’s recruitment program, including development and refinement of initiatives, to increase applications and enrollment of students.

Organize and oversee special recruiting activities, college fairs, and events.

Oversee daily campus tours and work to continuously improve the campus visit experience.

Lead the coordination of group visits for high schools, divisions, programs, and other special groups.

Assist with the oversight of the Pioneer Leader Scholarship Program.

Collaborate with the Financial Aid Office to manage and oversee the Prospective Pioneer Scholarship.

Manage and maintain the College’s recruitment-related communication efforts, including managing prospect and applicant communication campaigns in the college’s CRM, Slate.

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of recruitment-related technological resources, including Ellucian Banner and Slate.

Oversee website content related to the Office of Admissions and third-party sites used for recruiting purposes.

Collaborate with the Office of Marketing, Communications, and Media Services on college-wide marketing efforts that support recruiting initiatives.

Assist with the development of the Office of Admissions Continuous Improvement Plan.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance the College’s presence and build stronger relationships with high schools within our service area.

Serve as the primary admissions representative for applicants outside of the college’s service area.

Assist prospective students in the decision-making, application, and enrollment process.

Oversee residency operations and decision-making in the Director's absence.

Assist with the admissions process for international students, including providing guidance on application requirements and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Assist with the creation and implementation of effective tracking systems for Recruiter/Admissions Advisor to support recruitment efforts.

Assist with the development and interpretation of KPIs and internal reports related to student recruitment.

Assist with managing the budgets for the Office of Admissions.

Respond to inquiries from prospective students using various communication methods.

Represent Volunteer State Community College positively with all internal and external constituents.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.Three years of related experience.Supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five or more years of experience in higher education with direct student contact, especially at a community college.Experience with Ellucian Banner.Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

A thorough knowledge of recruitment and admission best practices, policies, and procedures.Excellent computer skills, including knowledge and uses of integrated student database systems.Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality; exceptional customer service skills; and possess the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Pay Rate:

$47,276 - $59,095 annual salary depending on experience
