Join Medtronic as a Program Manager in our Robotics Surgical Technology (RST) Project Management Office (PMO). Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.This person will ensure that his/her/their program teams are:Efficient, effective, and well-coordinatedFocused on clear priorities, milestones, and goalsCommitted to developing and adhering to schedulesVigilant in managing budgets, including labor resourcesDedicated to delivering quality commercial releases in compliance with established processesThe New Product Development program manager is responsible for:Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage projects focused on adding new Instruments, Indications, and Technologies to our surgical robotics platform, HugoTM.Develop and monitor schedules, plans, tasks, and priorities, ensuring a streamlined workflow.Drive problem-solving sessions, maintaining a sense of urgency and holding team members accountable to commitments.Anticipate and mitigate risks, balancing time, schedule, cost, and quality, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.Manage project financials, including forecasting and tracking of accruals and actuals.Cultivate a broad understanding of Medtronic's Surgical Robotics and Instrumentation, leveraging this knowledge to drive project success.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.Manages the development and implementation process of a company’s products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders.Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.Must Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree required (Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific discipline)Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of project management experienceNice to Have10+ years of experience in Project Management or commercial new product deliveryMBA and PMP / CSM CertificationHigh degree of competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)Proven track record of successfully managing within a matrixed organizationKnowledge in product development, project management, and commercialization in the medical device industryStrong communication and teamwork skills; builds trusting relationships with team members and key leadership stakeholdersMust be able to lead cross-functional discussions; driving towards alignment, decisions, resolutions when necessaryAbility to manage multiple projects at once while understanding cultural differences between various regions of the worldExperience with developing and/or commercializing large capital medical devices (e.g. Robotic systems, Imaging equipment, etc.)Experience with advanced scheduling and resource management tools like Prochain and Resource FirstExperience working under regulations of the FDA, notified bodies, and other regulatory agencies for successful commercial launchesProduct launch experience working with Global teamsExperience with SAFe/Agile software development practicesPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. PR) locations (USD): $132,000.00 - $198,000.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
