The terminal manager ensures daily operation of rail/loadout terminal including supervision of hourly employees. Responsible for budgeting; permitting; working as member of plant management team to achieve operational goals and objectives; managing contracts and contractors; and community relations.Job Responsibilities

Track cost and maintain costs at the terminalDevelop and maintain a safe and environmentally compliant operation with the assistance of the Safety and Environmental Representatives.Develop and maintain operational methods to reduce costs and produce a consistent product for customers of the terminal.Develop and maintain a good working QC lab.Maintain the mobile equipment with assistance of mobile equipment maintenance personnel through coordination and scheduling.Maintain unloading and conveying equipment. This includes pumps, chutes, silos, conveyor belts, etc.Maintain purchasing of regular materials for the operation and work with Procurement to purchase routine materials.Maintains operational compliance with zoning and related permitsDevelop annual budget for the operation.Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant groundsComply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures and requirementsMeet or exceed company safety standardsPerform other job responsibilities as assigned by managementQualifications

3 – 5 years of management supervision experience requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.Must be able to read, write, and speak EnglishKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong interpersonal skillsMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience requiredAbility to work in an outdoor environment with frequent physical labor expectationsSelf-motivated team player with a focus on goal accomplishmentsWorking Conditions

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.Must wear protective equipment while at the locationCapable to work extended hours as neededAbility to participate in required overnight travel as neededNo smoking or tobacco use of any kind on premisesNo cell phone use while workingPhysical Requirements
