Responsible for managing post-award activities in support of an assigned portfolio of grants and contracts within one or more units (i.e., school(s), department, division, institute, or center) using knowledge of grant and contract management rules and regulations, technical expertise, and analytical skills. Post-award activities include regular review, reconciliation, and projection of award finances, preparing adjustments and corrections to award budgets, preparing financial reports, and at the end of the award, ensuring all financial requirements have been met and closing out the award. Interact regularly with and provide high quality customer service to faculty members conducting sponsored research. Ensure adherence to quality standards and all policies and award regulations.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Fundamental interpersonal skills in a professional environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to analyze data and formulate conclusionsAbility to learn changing technologies related to grants and contracts managementProficient use of computers; requires solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to create high-quality written documentsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks simultaneouslyProactively resolve problems and issues in a timely mannerExcellent customer service orientationAptitude in mathematics, financial management, and/or accountingDeadline oriented; work well under pressureRequired Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma/equivalent and 3 years of directly related experience.Preferred Qualifications

Compensation InformationThis position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 24.
