Overview

We are seeking a full-time

Lead Project Manager IT

in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing very large and complex projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Essential FunctionsMotivates and drives accountability to project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.Provides project management guidance across teams.Delivers project status and summary project information to all levels of the business including the executive level.Identifies interdependencies in projects across the department and provides guidance for project management processes and procedures.Derives and executes project management improvement efforts.Participates in project definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs.Develops reliable solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.Serves as a mentor to less experienced IT Project Analysts (Project Analyst 1, 2 & 3).Develops and maintains all project documentation.Motivates and drives accountability from all project team members, including the coordination of resources assigned to projects for which he/she is responsible without direct authority and resolves conflicts with little assistance.Contributes to advanced technical research on new technologies and determining feasibility of team or functional goals/objectives.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field

AND

a minimum of 9 years relevant experience

OR

an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule).Demonstrates mastery of project management principles and adapts practices to meet rapidly changing business climates and needs.Demonstrated experience with a proven track record in successful implementation of technology solutions.Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Must be positive, detail-oriented, organized, team-oriented, and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Demonstrated excellent time management and follow-up skills.Desired QualificationsOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5).Certification in a nationally accredited project management discipline (i.e., PMI, PMP, Six Sigma, Unified Rational, etc.).Experience with automated testing tools, procedures, and an understanding of web-based concepts and processes.Strong understanding of Infrastructure and Security concepts and processes.Familiarity with and demonstrated understanding of IT Service Management.Experience with and understanding of ERP/EDI concepts and processes.Experience with Oracle Application Modules (e.g. Financials, Purchasing, ASCP, BOM, INV, OM, HRMS, CRM, etc.).Familiarity with database systems and large scale application lifecycle management.Experience with release processes and SDLC.Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Information Technology Information Library (ITIL), or other regulatory issues.Experience successfully coordinating large scale globally based projects to move, add, and/or change aforementioned underlying technologies.Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity.
