Job Summary

The incumbent will apply expert knowledge and business practices to interpret and implement applicable business objectives of the organization to further enhance the strategic priorities of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Family and Community Medicine. The incumbent will create reports based on specifications and participate to optimize the performance of enterprise tools that add value to the organization. The Strategic Business Operations Specialist will manage data collection, validation, analysis, modeling, and coordination of reporting of data for internal and external use. Incumbent will create and distribute data reports specific to monitored indicators. Apply program management techniques to ensure the on-time, high-quality delivery of all projects and provide the full spectrum of fiscal management support for all Obstetrics and Gynecology and Family and Community Medicine cost centers.

Minimum Qualifications

For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.Bachelor's Degree, and higher degree in Business or Health-related field and/or extensive years equivalent combination of experience, education and training.Experience in strategic planning, business development, market research, and financial analyses.Demonstrated experience analyzing financial budget information, performing independent research, and presenting data to facilitate decision making.Demonstrated strong experience with computer software and web-based applications to include but not limited to accounting, payroll and effort reporting systems; MS Office and Outlook; ability to create, utilize, and maintain complex formulas and functions including, but not limited to pivot tables, array functions, and VBA/Macros.Demonstrated strong experience with creating and maintaining statistical and financial data.Proven experience performing complex analysis involving multiple variables across a broad spectrum with skills to develop problem-solving methodologies or strategies and evaluates criteria.Experience conducting complex data analysis projects as well as measuring and monitoring the consistency and accuracy of data.

Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree(s), such as MBA, MHA or similar.Extensive experience working in a health care organization preferred Experience in a large academic healthcare setting.Demonstrated knowledge of university accounting/financial policies and procedures.Demonstrated knowledge of university policies and procedures on personnel, purchasing, travel, entertainment, transfers of expenses, invoicing and collections.Demonstrated knowledge of university policy and procedures relating to personnel and payroll.

Department Overview

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a School of Medicine academic/clinical department of approximately 40 faculty members, 11 Volunteer Clinical Professors, 4 Staff Physicians, 9 Fellows, 30 Residents and approximately 76 staff members. The Department of Family and Community Medicine is a School of Medicine academic/clinical department of approximately 19 faculty members, 30 Volunteer Clinical Professors, 8 Staff Physicians, 47 Residents and approximately 40 staff members. The departments are responsible for providing research, education and clinical service.
