Business Development Executive

with extensive experience and knowledge of

Foreign Affairs

markets, offices, and stakeholders. This position will focus on bringing ManTech’s core solutions and capabilities to market within the Department of State (DOS) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) including cybersecurity, application development, systems engineering, mission and enterprise IT, and advanced cloud solutions.

This position directly contributes to the ManTech Federal Civilian (FedCiv) Sector’s objectives by continuing and accelerating our growth within the Foreign Affairs Division. Reporting to the Vice President of Federal Civilian Growth, this highly visible position works with the most senior leaders across ManTech to develop and execute account strategies and drive business growth.

Position Responsibilities:

Cultivate new and existing customer relationships to develop our business and visibility within DOS and USAID – coordinated with our Foreign Affairs delivery teams – that result in organic and inorganic growth.

Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of ManTech’s capabilities, technology, and business objectives. Use this knowledge to design and execute creative and differentiated growth strategies and customer engagements as well as influence future capability development efforts.

Identify, qualify, and support the capture of new business for the Foreign Affairs Division. This includes ownership of the new business pipeline and account/opportunity-specific customer call plans. Maintain a 3+ year sales pipeline of qualified business opportunities by constantly identifying and qualifying new opportunities.

Conduct introductory and ongoing briefing(s) with various Bureau and Office leadership and management teams, with a priority focus on Diplomatic Security (DS), Diplomatic Technology (DT) formerly Information Resource Management (IRM), International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), and Consular Affairs (CA) within DOS and the Bureau for Management within USAID.

Maintain business relationships with other industry partners to facilitate teaming and thorough awareness of the competitive market.

Coordinate with key Foreign Affairs vendors to visualize and demonstrate future-state technology stacks.

Participate and host Foreign Affairs related industry events and panels that highlight ManTech investments and service capabilities.

Review and evaluate proposal documents to ensure customer-focused solutions are reflected during color reviews and in preparation for proposal submission.

Position Requirements:

A minimum of (10) ten years of experience selling technology services to the Federal Government as a Federal Systems Integrator.

Experience building and maintaining sales pipelines that consistently achieve sufficiency targets.

Demonstrated experience developing business to and strong relationships within DOS, including knowledge of Bureau missions, that resulted in business growth.

Strong reputation within the DOS community with a mix of direct program experience coupled with direct experience in the realm of Federal business development.

Demonstrated track record of winning opportunities, as a prime Federal Systems Integrator contractor, in the $50M to $500M range.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience winning opportunities, as a prime Federal Systems Integrator contractor, greater than $100M.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance is preferred.

Clearance Requirement:

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.

Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.

The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $143,600-$239,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
