Our Digital Transformation Consulting Division (DTD) specializes in high-end consulting that is solving the federal government’s hardest problems by delivering performance-based and outcome-driven digital transformation solutions. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented

Director, Modern Software Development

to join our team in

Herndon, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for establishing and leading a software development practice within our Digital Transformation Division.

This role encompasses strategic planning, team building, and technical oversight.

Key responsibilities include defining the technical vision, managing software development projects, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives.

They also play a crucial role in building client relationships, driving revenue growth, and staying at the forefront of emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

15+ years of relevant experience.

Proven Leadership Experience: A successful track record of leading software development teams, including hiring, mentoring, and developing talent.

Deep Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of modern software development methodologies, technologies, and architectures (e.g., Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, UX/UI, cloud computing, microservices).

Business Acumen: A strong understanding of business objectives and the ability to align technology strategies with organizational goals.

Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex software development projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Capture/Proposal Management: Demonstrated success in leading capture and proposal efforts for deals greater than $50M.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Entrepreneurial Spirit: A passion for innovation and the ability to identify new market opportunities and develop innovative software solutions.

Consulting Experience: Experience in a consulting environment, with a proven ability to build strong client relationships and deliver value.

10+ years of US Federal Government Industry Knowledge.

P&L Responsibility: Experience managing a software development P&L, including revenue generation, cost management, and profitability.

Advanced Degrees: An advanced degree in computer science or a related field.

Security Clearance Requirements:

US citizenship with the ability to obtain up to a secret level clearance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $156,400-$261,400. In addition, ManTech invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
