We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer projects at our KY Venues offices.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The primary functions of the Venue Sales Manager will be to identify potential incoming leads and their respective opportunities of the Convention Center and Expo Hall via CVB leads list and venue contracting lists. Reach out to these clients in conjunction with the venue sales team and attend site visits to learn more about the client, the event, and their needs and wants for the event. The Sales Manager will work with in-house Prestige staff to design the event around their needs, recommend services to exceed the expectations of the client, and win business. The Sales Manager will work closely with the production team to share information and provide flawless execution of the event. The Sales Manager will work closely with the production manager (when applicable) on the final invoice of the event.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Present, promote and sell Prestige AV services using solid sales tactics to existing and prospective customers.Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.Show forecasting and budgeting to maintain numbers for both the partner relationship and Prestige.Cost Benefit analysis on a client and event basis.Develop and maintain event margins.Establish, develop, and maintain positive business, venue, and customer relationships.Reach out to customer leads through Louisville Tourism (CVB) and Venue contracting lists.Expedite the resolution of customer needs to maximize satisfaction.Address customer complaints and work towards amenable solutions.Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.Analyze the market’s potential, track sales and status reports.Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.Continuously improve through feedback and opportunities.Communicate timely and effectively on customer needs to venue team.Identify the need for a project manager early in the process.Work with operations and tech teams on the execution of the event.Set teams up for success by exemplary communication processes.Work within existing information systems and be able to suggest and help implement new processes.SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS/KNOWLEDGE:

Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.Excellent knowledge of MS Office.Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships.Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Experience:5 years industry experience.5 years industry sales or sales associate experience.Education / Training:A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in Production, Business administration, public speaking, or related fields.General education requirements in the areas of communication, social science, natural science, and humanities provide analytical and communication skills as well as a global perspective of diverse cultures.
