Must be active-duty U.S. military service member who qualifies for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program. Must be willing to live/work in the location above. This is not a remote/telework opportunity.Altimeter Solutions, LLC (Altimeter), is a technical consulting firm that specializes in providing its clients the highest quality analytical/technical consultative services possible. Altimeter’s mission is to provide clients with proven professional solutions/services that represent the uppermost levels of industry technical competencies and value. Altimeter Solutions holds a Top Secret facility clearance and places contract and permanent technical resources with prime vendors for the DoD and other Federal government branches nationwide.Responsibilities:
Responsible for the interior design, space planning, construction management, maintenance, and operations of all company facilities and grounds, leased and owned.Develops, manages, and tracks facilities capital and facilities operating expense budgets and establishes long-range facilities strategic plans in support of business goals.Oversees the planning and implementation of space allocation, furniture and equipment layouts, communication services, and networking requirements.Ensures facility compliance with building codes, guidelines, and regulations.Responsible for preventative, routine, and emergency repair and maintenance of all facilities and facilities support equipment.Responsible to maintain and utilize a facilities maintenance management and work order system.Inspects facilities and evaluates such factors as HVAC systems, lighting, size, condition, and suitability for occupancy.Coordinates work of contractors and interfaces with external government agencies on facilities matters.Jointly responsible for facilities security and health and safety standards within the facility.Essential Functions:
Coordinate and manage site’s GCs.Ensure builds/modifications meet business’ needs.Manage day-to-day execution of facilities related tasks.Ensure PMs are performed and documented on schedule.Coordinate with vendors to ensure facility readiness, coordinate break/fix activities.Verify effectiveness of PM process.Coordinate with facilities staff to address employee facility requests and concern reports.Work with various programs to manage manufacturing and office space requirements.Team with programs to understand program needs & timeline.Create facility modification/turnover schedules based on manufacturing program transitions.Other responsibilities.Team with other facilities team members to ensure Environmental, Health & Safety compliance to internal and external regulations.Manage facilities budgeting for supplies and vendor activities.Must Haves:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.Must have good coordination skills.Management experience and experience working with Vendors.Nice to Haves:
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.General Contracting or HVAC knowledge or facilities management experience in a manufacturing setting desired.NOTE:
Because this is a SkillBridge Internship, it is understood that no single candidate will have equal expertise in all the areas of responsibility listed. Successful candidates will possess a compelling combination of many of them and the self-awareness and wisdom to leverage existing and/or new resources in the area(s) where they lack personal mastery.Vets2PM Provides:

Not all internships include certification training by Vets2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead.
