Responsibilities

Live our mission statement centered on our values of respect, service, and excellenceWork under the direction of the branch manager and be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the branchPlay a critical role in the profitability of the branch and assist the branch manager with P&L managementSupervise the inside sales staff and the warehouse managerServe as the “go-to” leader for customer service opportunities and issuesSearch for ways to improve branch operations and salesMonitor all branch operations, including: warehouse processes, physical inventory, fleet, payroll, bank deposits, cycle counts, and daily reports using Lansing's "day's work in a day's time" philosophyWork alongside the warehouse manager and associatesUse the company's sophisticated inventory management network, which ties all Lansing branches togetherBe responsible for branch staffingDo what is necessary to get the job done while following our mission statement

Qualifications

Experienced manager and supervisor with the ability to motivate subordinatesHigh integrity and energy while working in a fast-paced environmentExperience with building products either as a salesperson or in senior warehouse rolesAbility to meet -- and reach -- personal goalsStrong interest in sales and/or retail as evidenced by previous jobs or by educationExcellent interpersonal skills -- the ability to work one-on-one with customers and the ability to resolve sensitive business-related issuesStrong computer knowledgeAll-around business professional with exceptional telephone etiquetteCompetitor with a hunger for success and the willingness to go the extra mileStrong communication and social skillsHeavy lifting -- up to 70 pounds -- may be required on occasion
