Supplier Quality EngineerThe Supplier Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager. You will be responsible for handling supplier non-conformances, measuring and analyzing quality data, driving quality and improvements using problem solving process (PSP) and other tools. You will support the Quality Manager ensuring that the quality of purchased items meets Qualitrol documented standards. Improve supplier quality performance and work with purchasing to approve new supplier.Supplier Quality Engineer Responsibilities:Support Fortive Part Qualification Process (FPQP) activities to ensure all pertinent product quality requirements for purchased materials are well-communicated to suppliers and met in an effective manner.Monitor weekly/monthly supplier scorecards and complete supplier performance improvement actions as the need arises.Report supplier performance metrics such as Supplier Parts Per Million defects (SPPM) and Cost of Poor Supplier Quality (CoPSQ).Resolve supplier non-conformances by actively using Material Review Board (MRB) issuing Material Review Report and Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCARs)/(3Cs); ensure timely follow-up and resolution.Drive the Return Material Authorization (RMA) and Return to Vendor (RTV) process.Conduct Supplier Review Meetings with suppliers by driving discussion on key metrics such as SCAR status and SPPM concerns, to drive corrective/preventative measures.Participate in new supplier qualifications using Fortive processes as part of supplier selection.Conduct supplier audits as part of supplier selection or for-cause.Investigate and analyze quality issues and implement solid countermeasures with suppliers.Create inspection procedures and training for suppliers and receiving inspection.Travel to suppliers/subcontractors to train and set up new products.Undertake internal ISO9001:2015 audits.Ensure that all rectification and rework of materials is carried out and meets the agreed standards.Experience / Qualifications:Minimum Degree in Engineering.2+ years of Supplier Quality experience within a manufacturing industry is required.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related process controls.Experience as a supplier and internal auditor.Experience using tools such as Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAP and communicating advanced quality concepts both internally and externally.Highly analytical, with a clear, logical understanding of problem-solving including Root Cause, Corrective Action, Counter Measures, Problem Solving Plans (PSP) and Action Plan development and execution.Strong PC skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.Strong communication skills.Willing to travel domestically and internationally.Working Conditions:Location: BelfastReports to the Quality Manager
