Reporting to the Director of the LGBT Resource Center, the Assistant Director is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and assessing programs designed to provide support, education, and advocacy regarding sexual orientation and gender identity. The Assistant Director is the second senior member of the staff and acts on behalf of the Director in their absence and represents the Director at campus-wide committees and meetings.The Assistant Director serves a vital, pivotal role in the administration of the Center and the development of the Center's programs, policies, and practices. In conjunction with the UC Riverside LGBT Resource Center team, the Assistant Director cooperates with campus departments to address cross-issue social justice and diversity organizing. The Assistant Director advocates for the well-being of students, with a specific focus on students of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.The full salary range for the Assistant Director, LGBT Resource Center is $64,300 - $114,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $64,300 - $83,520 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable university policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
