DoD Skill Bridge Fire Inspector Interns

perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards.Assist higher-level inspectors with testing of fire pumps, wet systems, dry systems, tamper switches, water-flow devices, and hydrants.Assist with inspection, testing, and service of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems; standpipes; backflow preventors; fire hydrants; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.Follow and maintain highly-structured inspection schedules.Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to city municipality websites.Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site.Provide instructions to customer’s personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.Work overtime when needed.Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role.Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:U.S. Military experience as an E4 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves)Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tabletMust be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassistedExperience in the Fire Life Safety or Fire Protection Industry preferredProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customersGood verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMust have good customer-facing and customer-service skillsQualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United StatesMust possess a valid driver's license with limited violationsThis position supports a Siemens customer who requires all employees and vendors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 where permitted by applicable law and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons.Additional Information:
