You will lead and inspire a team of ambassadors in delivering an exemplary level of guest service. As a team leader, you will model a positive attitude, a high level of energy, and an unyielding commitment to quality. You will:Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animalsResponsible for the development of OJT’s and ambassadors by providing training, feedback, and coaching.Ensure compliance with all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department proceduresEnsure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable lawMaintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improveMaintain inventory and stock/replace areas supplies and equipment as neededConduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standardsAttend to ambassadors and follow park protocol in emergency situationsRespond to ambassador and guest needsCommunicate effectively with other areas within the department as well as other departments in the parkTrack information to complete daily and weekly reportsReport to leadership regarding the status of projects and completed assignmentsWhat it takes to succeed:At least 18 years of ageAt least 4 days of unrestricted availability including weekends and holidays during peak seasonAt least 3 days of unrestricted availability including weekends and holidays during the off seasonAble to complete provided CPR/AED training/certificationAble to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functionsAble to climb stairs/laddersAble to operate and maneuver in/around tight spacesAble to use heavy equipment for cleaningComfortable with exposure to noise and vibrationsAble to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremesAble to train on and properly use protective gearComfortable working around fumes/dust/odorAble to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder levelStand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods of timeAbility to positively interact with guests, co-workers, and vendors of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needsComfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team membersAble to remain calm and professional during challenging situationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of all Microsoft Office applicationsSkilled in organization and planningAble to lift or move 75lbsPossession of a valid state driver's license preferred1 Year in mechanical ride operation preferredWhat else is important:Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Equipment Selection — Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others.Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively.Writing — Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
