Overview:The DoubleTree Hotel in Portland, Oregon is seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our dining operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of service, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the restaurant team, including servers, hosts/hostesses, bartenders, and support staff, to provide exceptional service to guests.Ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations, including seating management, order taking, food and beverage delivery, and guest satisfaction.Train, coach, and mentor restaurant staff to uphold brand standards, including service etiquette, product knowledge, and cleanliness.Develop and implement strategies to maximize restaurant revenue, including menu development, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.Monitor and control operating costs, including labor, food, and beverage expenses, to achieve budgeted financial targets.Maintain inventory levels and oversee ordering of food, beverages, and supplies to meet operational needs and minimize waste.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and liquor licensing requirements.Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve any issues to the guest's satisfaction.Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high-quality food standards and consistency in menu offerings.Collaborate with the banquet team to maintain high-quality food standards and consistency in menu offerings.Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to promote restaurant offerings and drive revenue growth through guest satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a hotel or upscale dining environment.Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, sanitation standards, and guest relations.Familiarity with restaurant management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and point-of-sale systems is desirable.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
