We are committed to maintaining a diverse workforce and providing employment opportunities to veterans and individuals who have a disability.JOB SUMMARY:This is a Training and Research Consultant position in the General Tax Administration Program (GTA), Communications Process, Program Training Team. The incumbent conducts and analyzes research to evaluate, create, and revise instructional materials and identifies training needs and process improvements. The incumbent also coordinates and consults with supervisors and business process owners to determine training needs that align with GTA’s strategic focus of maximizing performance and efficiencies and coordinates and conducts training classes, sessions, and workshops in a variety of formats (e.g., computer-based, instructor-led, and hybrid).MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.Four years of experience evaluating, analyzing, or interpreting reemployment tax laws or policies.Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.SUBSTITUTIONS:Four years of experience providing technical assistance for reemployment tax to GTA employees by researching complex tax issues and compliance procedures.An associate’s degree or higher in Instructional Systems/Instructional Design or another related field can substitute for two years of experience evaluating, analyzing, or interpreting reemployment tax law or policies.A Human Performance Technology or Instructional Design Certificate can substitute for one year of experience evaluating, analyzing, or interpreting reemployment tax law or policies.PREFERENCES:Two years of experience coordinating and conducting training classes or sessions for reemployment tax.Two years of experience writing and designing training courses for adult workplace learners for delivery in classrooms, online, webinars, or other channels and platforms.Two years of experience planning and managing instructional design or communication projects; or developing, implementing, and analyzing evaluations of training effectiveness.Two years of experience developing eLearning with design software such as Articulate 3/360 or Captivate.Experience utilizing the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).SPECIAL NOTES:This position will be located in the service center of the selected candidate.This position requires travel. In addition, occasional overnight travel may be necessary for training purposes. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to agency policy.This position may require overtime which may include weekends.SALARY:
