The Assistant Athletics Director of Annual Giving is a professional fundraising position responsible for leading the Athletics Development annual giving program including oversight of Green Wave Club solicitation strategy, donor retention, donor acquisition, and stewardship. This position will also be responsible for managing a portfolio of priority fundraising prospects to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts in concert with Athletics’ strategic priorities and objectives. Incumbent will work closely with University Advancement and athletic leadership to execute fundraising initiatives aimed at raising private donor support for Tulane Athletics.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong interpersonal, organizational, management, and leadership skillsAbility to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student-athletes, and vendorsExtremely organized, self-starter, intrinsically motivatedProven ability to multi-task effectivelyProven ability to generate philanthropic revenue through annual giving strategiesAbility to prioritize assignments and meet deadlinesProficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and other software necessary to the development operationAvailability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekendsAbility to travel locally and nationally for appointmentsThorough knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulationsNCAA Related:

Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations.Required Education and/or Experience:Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ direct fundraising or related experience in an annual giving setting, preferably in intercollegiate athletics at the NCAA Division I FBS level. Transferable, related experience such as marketing, admissions, public relations, alumni relations, trust officer, or sales may be considered.OR High School Diploma or equivalent with 11 years’ direct experience, preferably in intercollegiate athletics at the NCAA Division I FBS level. Transferable, related experience such as marketing, admissions, public relations, alumni relations, trust officer, or sales may be considered.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree and working knowledge of Ellucian Advance, Paciolan, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.Compensation Information:
