John Heinz III College is seeking a hands-on and innovative Program Manager of the Traffic21 Institute and CMU University Transportation Centers. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in an exciting and challenging work environment where your contributions can make an impact locally and globally.Your core responsibilities will include:

Coordinating and reporting on various programs that focus on research, education, workforce development, and technology transfer.Assisting with writing and editing grant proposals, contracts, requests for proposals, etc.Generating research reports (e.g., USDOT), producing content for social media platforms, and producing other types of communications by working with the researchers across the University to acquire pertinent and timely information.Ensuring compliance with all reporting, financial and other parameters set forth in various contracts and grants by working collaboratively with faculty and other third parties.Updating and maintaining various web sites and social media sites (blogs, Facebook, etc.) regarding ongoing initiatives, status of projects, etc. to fuel and maintain curiosity about the programs and initiatives as well as to attract new sponsors and partners.Assisting with the ongoing efforts to build and expand partnerships, funding for new initiatives and growing the visibility and reputation of the University, Heinz College, Traffic21 and the University Transportation Centers.Presenting research, data, and other relevant information to funders, deployment partners, faculty, etc. in a manner that garners interest, support, and excitement about the program, our mission and vision, and our accomplishments.Inclusion, collaboration and cultural sensitivity are valued proficiencies at CMU. You will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in the areas of project management, compliance, event planning and networking. You will also be able to identify, nurture, and expand organizational relationships to improve faculty research and projects.The ability to interact and present sometimes technical and/or complex research data with a high level of integrity both in writing and verbally with, the public, media, government officials, high level executives, researchers, faculty and others across an organization will contribute to your success.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, transportation engineering, planning or other similar degree. A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is proven may be considered.At least Three (3) years of experience in project or program management in non-profit or government or similar experience in the transportation sector particularly with translating sophisticated and/or technical information into accessible, practical initiatives and experience in community relations.Previous federal grant management experience is highly desirable.Requirements:
