Assistant Director, Alumni Relations . Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Assistant Director will work within a collaborative office environment and share responsibility for managing programs and meetings intended to engage and connect alumni to UT and each other while cultivating and inspiring giving.RESPONSIBILITIESWork independently on one’s own portfolio of projects and in collaboration with the Director of Alumni Relations, the Associate Director of Alumni Relations, and the Vice President of Development and University Relations, and other DUR team members to develop and implement initiatives that meet strategic alumni engagement and fundraising goals and objectives.Serve as a program manager for alumni engagement meetings (which include alumni events) in the greater Tampa Bay market.Manage a new Senior Alumni Engagement Club (Classic Spartans). (Coordinate meetings and events as well as serve as the point of contact for this group of alumni.)Create alumni engagement opportunities for volunteers and alumni to make an impact on students. Ensure the integration of the alumni engagement cornerstones (Wealth, Wisdom, Work) into all alumni engagement meetings and programs.Collaborate with multiple offices on campus to create opportunities for alumni to engage with their alma mater in meaningful ways, including fostering the existing partnerships with the Office of Career Services and Greek Life.Leverage social media to foster volunteerism, improve meeting and event attendance, and increase participation in alumni programs. (Effectively design and manage communications to alumni that foster and grow alumni engagement leading to long-term investment in the University).Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree required and 3-4+ years of experience in volunteer management, alumni or constituent programming, event management, with a preference for these experiences in higher education; other nonprofit or similar fields also accepted.Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills are essential. Must be organized, self-motivated and can manage a multitude of tasks concurrently.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and related computer skills.
