Job Summary
As an Early Childcare Assistant Director at Guiding Hands Christian Academy, you’ll ensure compliance with Texas minimum standards, Texas Rising Star, and Guiding Hands Policies and Procedures. You’ll provide a safe and loving environment that nurtures the social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of each child by coaching and assisting the teachers.
Responsibilities
Assist teacher with lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to development levels
Document observations and coaching of teachers
Maintain positive informal and formal communication with families and teachers on a daily basis
Maintain a safe, comforting and stimulating environment for children and teachers
Facilitate and maintain childcare licensing standards
Be friendly and have a desire to work as a team in a rewarding, fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Two years of previous experience in a licensed early childcare center
Strong verbal communicator with an upbeat personality who is comfortable and excels at speaking to parents
Energetic, nurturing, positive, child-friendly personality
Shows initiative; strong work ethic
