Counseling ServicesAbout the Department:

The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) is where students discover connections and community. It serves all students at NC State through integrated components: academic affairs, student affairs, and University College.Duties and Responsibilities:Individual and group counseling of NC State students/clients (personal, academic, and vocational assessment and counseling); psychological assessment; developmental and crisis counseling; couples counseling; evaluation of students for withdrawal from the University.Development and participation in Outreach programming.Consultation with faculty, staff, parents, and others.Providing evaluations and recommendations regarding students with academic and conduct problems.Participation in “on-call” and end of the day coverage for emergencies.General administrative responsibilities.Oversight of center’s program evaluation and assessment.Assessment and Program Evaluation Responsibilities:Manage Business Continuity and disaster response plans.Manage data collection development and oversight.In conjunction with the Technology coordinator, coordinate all IT related needs/requests including computers, systems, and phones.Manage EHR (Titanium) data collection, updates, and user interface such as data forms and dashboard.Oversee annual report completion, data collection, analysis, and program evaluation.Collaborate on assessment needs of training programs.Qualifications:Minimum Education and Experience:

Require post-baccalaureate credentials or a bachelor’s degree plus alternative or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis.Other Required Qualifications:Demonstrated administrative and leadership/supervisory experience.Strong clinical, management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated commitment to multicultural competencies.Ability to handle crises and complex clinical situations.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Experience in handling crisis situations.Advanced experience in mental health outreach education and prevention.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in counseling or psychology.Post-licensure clinical/counseling experience.Experience with program development and evaluation preferred.Graduation from a CACREP or APA accredited program.Required License(s) or Certification(s):

Appropriate licensure by mental health discipline must be obtained/maintained according to North Carolina laws. Valid NC Driver's License required.Recruitment Dates and Special Instructions:Job Open Date:
