The purpose of this job is to receive, validate, and store physical loan files as well as file automobile titles, deeds, other related documents and pull paid loan files. In addition, assist with documentation questions.Responsibilities

Physical File verification:

Confirm the receipt of the physical loan packages and validate and compare the original signed documents.Verify the completeness of all Attorney Prepared loan packages and Tax Exempt Bond loans by confirming the collateral and loan type on the Commercial Application and Note document.Recognize lien perfecting documents specific to each state in the five Trustmark markets and confirm their readiness to record.Correspond with lenders of all levels to resolve problem loans and/or documents on a daily basis.Assist in monitoring the Physical File Receipt work queue to research the status and location of loans not received in a timely manner.Identify discrepancies and cite exceptions for original documents and physical documents required for legal purposes.

Vault Responsibilities:

Maintain the storage of over 50 thousand loan files in dual vaults and keep an accurate alphabetical filing system to fluently locate files to retrieve from and add material to on a daily basis. These duties will also include retrieving paid out loans daily and charge off & late fee loans monthly and pulling requested files for audit.

Lender Assistance:

Pull loan documents and files to route to lenders in all markets and confirm receipt of the returned files.

Log in/out Process:

Log in/out negotiable collateral under dual control log and the receipt of original automobile titles.

Other Matters:

Assist co-workers with daily work. Position also carries out other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications

High school diploma and two years' work experience in an office/professional environment -OR- Junior College/two-year college training and/or one year job related experience.Knowledge of loan documentation with emphasis on real estate, certificate of deposit, automobile, and stock.Knowledge of filing systems (alpha).Communications skills - deals directly with loan officers and other bank personnel.Basic computer skills.Clerical skills.Detail oriented.Ability to work independently.Customer service skills.Position can be physically demanding with employees spending approximately 80% of the day standing, reaching, bending, and using a step-stool for pulling and re-filing loan files.
