Commissary Baker Overnight PT

Thank you for your interest in SusieCakes!SusieCakes is currently looking to hire a PT Baker for our Commissary Kitchen in downtown San Francisco! We are looking for someone that can work the overnight shift, which could include weekends as well as some holidays.Pay range is $19-21/HR plus tips (est. $2-$3 an hour)The pastry baker assists in the culinary operations by managing and producing of all the baked goods along side other culinary team members.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage production and prepare a wide variety of standard and custom baked goods according to recipesMix, bake, build, decorate, and inscribe products in an efficient manner (as applicable)Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standardsOperate and maintain bakery equipmentBENEFITS & PERKS:Free non-slip shoes (annually!)Birthday month PTO with complimentary cakeCompany holidays off (Thanksgiving, December 25th-27th, and New Year’s Day)Referral ProgramPet rescue reimbursement and pet insuranceFlexible return to work schedule for maternity leaveQUALIFICATIONS:One year of previous culinary experience, pastry/baking experience strongly preferredAbility to work in cross functional roles as needed (front-of house & back-of-house)Must have reliable transportationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overheadAble to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 poundsEDUCATION:Culinary degree preferredHigh school diploma or GEDLANGUAGE SKILLS:Must be able to speak, read, and write EnglishOTHER:Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as neededIn accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $19 and $21 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
