Transportation Business Unit

in partnership with a collaborative co-HRBP to ensure that we have the leadership, culture, talent, and skills to be the best employer in our industry. This position is ideally located in our

Salt Lake City, UT, Denver, CO, Boise, ID, or Portland, OR offices.

Job Overview:

As HRBP, you will be tasked with supporting, cultivating and retaining top-tier talent to drive organizational success. Your effectiveness will be driven by the quality HR support you provide, the problem-solving expertise you apply, your commitment to our values and your contributions to advancing the firm's people strategies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

In partnership with a co-HRBP, coordinating alignment of business objectives with employees and management in designated business unit

Consults with management on human resource-related issues, suggests new HR strategies, and provides HR policy guidance and interpretation when appropriate.

Evaluates and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates needs with the HR Department and business management.

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

Works as a key contributor to the firm-wide HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, addresses grievances, and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Maintains comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in order to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partners with internal legal counsel when necessary.

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.

Provides support for orienting new hires, and internal promotions and transfers.

Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, and monitors and reports on workforce planning and succession planning.

Identifies training needs for business units and individuals, participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

Collaborates with other HRBPs and HR team members to create and maintain a fun and supportive work environment.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

5+ years of experience in a human resources position

Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Superior oral and written communication skills

Ability to work both in teams and independently

Ability to travel to western regional offices on occasion

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with an Architectural, Engineering, or Construction company

PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR related certifications

Experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent

Anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 and is based on applicable experience
