The department's residency and fellowship programs are located at UC Irvine Medical Center.

Your Role on the Team

Under the general supervision of the Administrative Supervisor, the Health Profns Educ Spec 2-CX for the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine department will be responsible for the trainees duties for both ACGME and non-ACGME trainee Programs. Duties include:Manage onboarding process for incoming trainees.Coordinate orientation for incoming trainees.Coordinate trainee interviews for the department.Provide administrative support for site visits.Attend all GME and Internal Pathology coordinator meetings.Attend trainee workshops and conferences.Work with Program Director, Assistant Program Director and Program Coordinators to ensure all ACGME, ADS, ABPath and GME online surveys are completed in a timely manner.Coordinate graduation and trainee retreat.Coordinate all reimbursements for trainees.Candidate ability to meet deadlines and follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously with careful attention to detail and with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to shift priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to organize and analyze information and material, identify omissions and duplications and make appropriate corrections. Interpersonal skills to effectively develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, administrators, staff, and students. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to obtain and convey information clearly, concisely, and accurately. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive materials and issues. Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and MedHub. Experience working as a coordinator of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program. Knowledge of ACGME & GME guidelines, policies and procedures.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required:Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements.Basic knowledge of health professions education industry.Basic knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research.Acquiring skills in developing and implementing processes and systems.Familiarity with the administrative and operational implications in a program.Communication skills; includes verbal, written and active listening.Service oriented and responsive to questions and requests.Ability to interact in a professional, resourceful, and courteous manner.Demonstrated interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail.Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.3-5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred:Knowledge of educational technology and systems.Ability to troubleshoot and triage related technology issues.Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills.Ability to generate computer reports, checking for errors, correcting and submitting accurate reports.Skills include entering, maintaining, extracting, and analyzing data in electronic systems.Total CompensationIn addition to the salary range listed below, we offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
