Service HVAC/Plumbing Experience.Review project documents.Identify scope of work.Material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.Walk difficult projects.Identify and document difficult/ non-standard conditions.Coordinate with Preconstruction Team to identify and fill scope gaps.Clarify scope with General Contractor and Engineer.Obtain quotes and coordinate/qualify scope with vendors and subcontractors.Completely assemble the Bid Tab in a timely manner.Provide value engineering ideas.Verify estimate accuracy by comparing data versus similar bids.File electronic documents.Participate in turnover process to Operations.Liaison between Estimating and Field Operations.Follow up on past awards.What is expected of a Service Estimator:
Indirect supervision.Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area.Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards.Devises new solutions to problems encountered.Independently performs most assignments with instructionReceives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards.5+ years of relevant experience.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.How you make Safety your top priority:Comply with all company policies and procedures.All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.Minimum Physical Requirements:Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.Work in all types of weather.Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Salary Compensation: $60,000-$100,000.
