The role of a Quality Assurance Supervisor is crucial in the food industry, focusing on the safety and quality of products. You will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that span daily to annual duties, all aimed at preventing contamination and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your expertise in documentation, procedures, and records will be essential for maintaining high standards. Additionally, your ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and work independently is key to the continuous improvement of food safety practices.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Quality Manager as needed.Prepare for, assist in, and conduct audits from both internal and external parties.Regularly review, update, and monitor the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), SQF Procedures, and HACCP programs, along with their supporting documentation.Maintain and monitor the Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems for food safety.Ensure the maintenance, verification, and review of laboratory practices, including equipment calibration and record-keeping.Complete and submit customer questionnaires as required.Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within the facility.Promote food safety culture and ensure compliance with USDA regulations and company policies.REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years’ experience in QA and Food Safety3+ years' experience developing and maintaining HACCP and SQF programs (writing HACCP documents)USDA or FDA experience is desiredProficient knowledge of MS Office softwareUnless noted above, applicants MUST be authorized to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.
