Job Overview:
American Roller Company in Union Grove, WI is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our team. The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production/manufacturing process, from order completion to final product delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in plant management, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Duties:
Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Manage, develop and lead the entire manufacturing process and production employees.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to drive change.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment.
Oversee maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
Analyze and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and minimize downtime.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with value stream, quality and safety standards.
Assist in the development and management of facility budget and expenditures to achieve production goals while controlling costs.
Develop and implement training and cross-training programs to ensure all employees have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Lean or a related field.
Proven experience in plant management in a lean manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and understanding of made to order, highly engineered manufacturing processes.
Experience with continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
Excellent computer, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Familiarity with systems and technology that support lean manufacturing.
Certification in Lean Manufacturing is preferred but not required.

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
