Job Description - Project Manager III (226 Days) (RTP20240918-007)DescriptionThe project manager for Academic Data and Strategy is a critical role supporting the full Academic Services team across content and programmatic workstreams. This position directly supports special projects, ensures strong systems for communication, implementation, monitoring, and feedback, ensuring equity is forefront in the work and all students are provided opportunities for growth and success.Leads planning of data strategy projects to ensure coherence, alignment with district initiatives, and continuous improvement.Manages implementation and oversight of data literacy projects, as designed by the data and strategy executive director.Organizes and leads the research and reporting of the HQIM implementation project.Supports researching and developing new initiatives as directed by supervisor.Builds and manages collaborative decision-making structures across Academic Services and teams for interdisciplinary workstreams.Manages and develops systems for collecting, aggregating, analyzing, and disseminating data and information for workstreams involving curriculum, instruction, and assessment.Collaborates with all other district teams to ensure Academic Services initiatives are communicated to school administrators and other stakeholders in a timely manner.Supports the Data and Strategy Executive Director in overseeing and ensuring alignment with curriculum, instruction, and assessment initiatives.Develops and facilitates ongoing implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement structures for the district’s plan related to curriculum and instructions, as well as key district initiatives.Performs other duties as may be assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree required from an accredited university; Master’s Degree preferred from an accredited university.5+ years of direct experience in a directly related field, preferably educational setting.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Proficiency in project management software and other relevant technology.Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.Knowledge of the educational system and current trends in education.Experience in the field of educational research, evaluation, methodologies, measurement theory, planning or computer programming.Experience designing, monitoring, and implementing program evaluations.Experience managing and analyzing data with statistical programs including but not limited to SPSS, MS Excel, Alteryx, R, and/or Python.Experience in building and maintaining data dashboards (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).Experience with mapping software including ArcGIS and Tableau.Skills in recording methodology with technical precision, accuracy, readability, and editorial correctness.Skills in strategic and operational planning required to implement district-wide planning, evaluation and accountability projects.Ability to communicate to meet the diversity of the community, district staff members, and the public at large.
