About the Role

As we continue growing, we are looking to add to our Brand Partnerships team within the Business Development group. We are hiring a Sales Executive to add to the Growth team of sellers serving 3-5 CPG partners to grow their business via our advertising and commercial solutions.About the Team

The Instacart Brand Partnerships team is responsible for managing Instacart’s relationship with CPG brand partners. The team’s remit is to act as strategic consultants to accelerate the Ad revenue growth of CPG brands on Instacart. The team works closely with internal cross-functional teams from product, comms, marketing, insights, and analytics to drive value and excitement with our partners.About the Job

Deliver on team account sales and net margin targetsDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to expand account partnership, such as those in eCommerce, Agency, Media, Sales, Shopper, Marketing/Brand teams, and moreEarn trusted partner status by understanding & growing their business, solution selling and influencing partnership expansionCreate data driven sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to CPG advertisers business needsLead annual planning and budgeting process with Fortune 500 accountsCreate data-backed proposals for up to multi-million dollar contracts for digital advertisingPartner with Internal teams such as Account Management, Insights, Analytics, Measurement, Product and Engineering to shape the future of our monetization strategyCollaborate with Marketing and Yield teams to design and sell bespoke campaigns against key advertiser occasionsAbout You

Minimum Qualifications

A solid understanding of the CPG environment either through direct sales and/or brand experience or similar exposure (ie. engaging with stakeholders across eCommerce, Media, Agency, Commercial/Sales and Marketing/Brand teams)Sales experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentDemonstrate skills and dependability of a top performer with an owner’s mindsetCollaborative, adored team playerExperience presenting to potential and current clientsHigh attention to detail with strong execution skillsFamiliarity with the tools of the trade (eg. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Google for Business/Drive Suite, Salesforce, Zoom, Teams)Experience with large data sets and ability to extract business insights from analysisClient presence and persuasivenessMetrics orientation – can get up to speed on search/ad/sales/share metrics quicklyClient service orientation – fast follow ups, general sense of urgencyThrives in ambiguous, startup environments and enjoys rapid change and learningComfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, able to dive into data and make decisions and recommendations based on insightsCustomer-focused with the ability to identify consumer pain points and develop strategies to enhance the consumer experienceOpenness to travel (10-25%) to client and company meetingsPreferred Qualifications

Consistent historic performance of achieving sales quotas, while building strong client relationshipsKnowledge of the digital media landscape including connected TV, programmatic and social platforms for offsite media campaignsInstacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants.For US based candidates, the base pay ranges for a successful candidate are listed below.WA: $113,000 — $126,000 USDOR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $109,000 — $121,000 USDAll other states: $98,000 — $109,000 USDCA, NY, CT, NJ: $118,000 — $131,000 USD
