Account Executive for our Automotive Marketing Team , part of The USA TODAY Network Automotive enterprise-wide solutions sales team. Our team is tasked with building the strongest portfolio in the industry that will provide end-to-end digital marketing for our automotive segment customers, working to develop and build exceptional business solutions for our clients so they can focus on what matters most to them – growing their business.The successful candidate builds solutions and drives results for our Automotive clients, developing relationships with senior executives at local dealerships and rooftops. The ideal candidate will have delivered results in both “traditional” and “new” media environments.Responsibilities:Drive product penetration, upsell, and retention of Accounts through acquiring new business and increasing current client spending while enhancing client satisfaction.Develop relationships with senior executives at local dealerships and rooftops, performing face-to-face sales calls, retention meetings, and delivering valuable insights with every interaction.Create solutions with CSM and deliver custom solutions that provide ROI to clients, focusing on long-term commitments and campaigns.Use SalesForce.com to manage the pipeline, maintain awareness of revenue responsibilities, and produce accurate forecasts.Develop insights and create an account plan that shapes a customized account strategy to gain market share within the Majors segment.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or equivalent combination of education and experience.3 to 5+ years of sales experience with a history of successful sales, innovation, and goal achievement.Ability to identify current needs of the client base and communicate the benefits of our audience-based marketing solutions.Strong understanding of digital media platforms and demonstrated ability to grow and maintain market share.Proficient in face-to-face sales calling, including up-selling, appointment setting, and cold calling.Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented environment; in building customer-based revenue and delivering customer solutions.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage time efficiently.Experience working with Salesforce or another CRM platform.Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.What we offer:As a part of Gannett Co., Inc., we offer a dynamic, community-focused environment where individuals are rewarded for exceptional performance.
