Human Resource Business Partner supporting our Operational Workforce!

You will be instrumental in providing expertise and advice across the business to support our people and organisational activities. You will offer guidance and coach your leaders to help resolve complex people challenges. You will use initiative to help engage and motivate the workforce and develop people leadership skills and capabilities within your portfolio areas.In addition, you'll support the design and delivery of strategic programs aligned with Western Power’s People Strategy, facilitating the implementation of corporate initiatives while ensuring compliance with HR best practices, policies, frameworks, awards, and corporate governance standards.This role will work from various depots, with the option to work from our Perth CBD office on a weekly basis.Your Role in ActionPartnering with formal leaders to understand their business, people challenges and opportunities.Provide guidance, input and support on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.Supporting the implementation of key HR programs and processes.Building capability of leaders across all levels of the organisation in their areas of responsibility.Management of unpredictable, high-volume workloads, requiring excellent prioritisation skills and effective risk assessment.Providing guidance, advice, and expertise in the resolution of varied and complex employee workplace concerns, including performance management, grievances, disciplinaries and injury management cases.Support with the investigation of claims of misconduct or grievances and provide appropriate recommendations for resolution in line with relevant frameworks.Analyse trends and metrics for the organisation to provide key insights, awareness and direction to the business.Be the key contact for HR in your internal client group through building effective and value adding partnerships.What Makes You a Great FitRelevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations and/or Law.Strong generalist experience, with a good grounding in a broad range of HR functional activities.Experience providing advice and guidance to large operational and professional workforces.Excellent organisational and analytical skills.Strong interpersonal and attention to detail skills.Excellent ability to prioritise and deliver on both proactive and reactive deliverables.Strong understanding and skills in the assessment of People related business risks.Excellent influencing skills.Previous experience supporting end to end processes for grievances, misconduct and serious misconduct matters.By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
