Position Summary: The Quality Inspector I is responsible for performing entry-level inspections and basic functional testing to ensure that company products comply with both internal and external specifications. This role involves a variety of routine and non-routine inspections, utilizing tools such as microscopes, calipers, and micrometers. The inspector will complete 10-15 different inspection tasks as part of their responsibilities.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Conduct accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies according to inspection plans and specification requirements.Perform PCI activities for NA Notifications at the US Regional Service Center as needed.Adhere to procedural requirements to maintain compliance with applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g., cGMP compliance).Support the paper document archival process, including preparing pallets for shipment to R4 and scanning documents for electronic archival in Agile.Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.Assist with Non-Conformance (NC) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities as needed.Engage in special projects as they arise.Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalent required; an Associate's degree or Technical degree is preferred.Basic computer skills are necessary for documenting and accessing information regularly.Strong written and oral communication skills are required to collaborate with team members and comprehend verbal instructions and written work instructions, including engineering drawings.Demonstrated knowledge of medical device regulations and FDA regulatory standards is preferred.Education and Experience:Minimum of a High School Diploma is required.Must be at least 18 years of age.Travel Requirements:Typically requires travel of less than 5% of the time.Physical Requirements and Work Environment:Ability to perform essential job functions in an office environment.Long periods of sitting to enter/analyze data are expected.Adequate manual dexterity is required to operate standard office equipment.Must be able to occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs.
