Staff

Accountant

located at our facility in Littleton, CO. As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to provide daily & administrative support to the Controller, including daily transactional data entry into the accounting system for various functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, and credit card transactions. It requires a keen attention to detail and proficiency in analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments.

Generate customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable aging.

Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.

Credit Card Program:​

Responsible for processing and reconciling company-issued procurement card (P-card) transactions, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and maintaining accurate records.

Financial Data Entry and Recording:

Accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger.

Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.

Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.

Month-End and Year-End Close:

Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare and post journal entries as needed to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Team Collaboration:

Assist the Controller with day-to-day operations following established (GAAP) accounting principles and objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues and improve processes.

Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and administrative duties as assigned.

Ideal Experience:

AS or BS in accounting, management, finance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (1 to 5 years).

Must be a US citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR Regulations.

Desired Skills:

Preferred experience in Government Contracting or Aerospace and Defense.

Familiarity with Costpoint ERP system is a plus.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Proficiency in personal computer applications and relevant software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook), including spreadsheets, database management, and presentation graphics.

Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

Ability to learn data extraction and other analytical tools used in Internal Audit.

Capability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.

Pay Range:

$67,000-$85,000
