Location: Raleigh Hybrid (1-2 days per week)

As the Senior Accountant, you will report into the Director of Accounting and will be primarily responsible for timely preparation and submission of monthly journal entries and reconciliations along with accounting research for certain specialty arrangements and transactions. The areas covered under this position related to the monthly journal entries and reconciliations include monthly consolidation entries, adjustments to recorded value of investments, goodwill and intangible assets. The position will be responsible for impairment analysis for goodwill, and intangible assets. Additional responsibilities will include preparation of cash flow statements, GAAP to non-GAAP reconciliations, reporting unit and segment analysis and documentation as well as researching and implementing accounting guidance related to new transactions (acquisitions and/or dispositions) and accounting pronouncements, as needed. As part of this process, the Senior Accountant will continue to develop and maintain strong research and technical skills. In this role, the Senior Accountant will have opportunities to work with the broader GL team, India shared services resources and Finance leadership on key strategic projects and transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries and General Ledger reconciliationsPrepare various impairment analysesComplete special projects as assigned, such as technical accounting research and process improvementsProvide support for the quarterly earnings release process and regulatory financial statement filingsEnsure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements and improve controls where necessaryAssist the internal and external auditors with interim reviews and year-end auditsMaintain and keep current on knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC requirements, and other relevant accounting regulationsQualifications:

BS/BA degree or higher in Accounting or Finance requiredActive CPA license, MBA or equivalent is highly desirable3-5 years of experience in public accounting or a public company in an accounting/finance roleExceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively tailor communications with senior management, external auditors, and various Corporate departments, as necessaryAbility and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational and time management skills in order to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong technical knowledge of and experience in applying US GAAP, SEC, and PCAOB guidance and regulations for publicly-traded companiesBusiness acumen and superior attention to detail, possessing demonstrated ability to make timely and well-thought-out decisions and/or recommendations to senior management, particularly on matters of significanceProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products (i.e. Excel, Word) requiredExperiences with Oracle ERP system preferredTravel Requirements:
