Talascend is currently seeking an I&E QC Inspector for a contract opportunity located in Phoenix, AZ.
OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an experienced self-motivated I&E QC Inspector to join our growing Industrial Construction team. This position will be responsible for the duties listed below along with other related functions. A team-oriented mentality and the drive to continuously improve is what sets the team at the top of the industry. This position works closely with related engineering, construction, fabrication, and other departments to ensure that the team's aligned goals are being met.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Committed to the core values and safety policies.Identify inspections and documentation as required for projects.Assemble and review project documentation packagesCreate and implement Project Quality Assurance PlansWrite and implement inspection and test plans (I&TP's)Perform Megger testing validation inspections.Verify cable landing and lug torquing activities.Perform and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance.Provide support and training to other inspectors as requested or assigned.Plan and execute Root Cause Analysis' and Corrective Action ReportsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Self-motivated with the drive to learn and grow.Experience with NEC and adequate experience installing electrical equipment.Electrical license is a plus.Efficient in Microsoft Excel and WordMust be able to work as a team and communicate effectively with co-workers and management.Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of organizational skillsExtensive knowledge of reading and understanding drawings and specifications.Ability and willingness to travel as needed.Knowledge and experience working under a Quality Management ProgramExperience with working to customer specificationsElectrical power (120V and 34KV) and Instrumentation experience3+ years working as a Quality Control InspectorPotential Hazard:Working outside in extreme weather conditionsExposure to loud noises and abnormal odorsConfined space workWorking in areas with overhead activitiesEssential Requirements:Comply with all company policies and proceduresAbility to work in a fast paced environmentClimbing up and down stairs and ladders while working on scaffolds and in trenches to access work.Lifting up to 50 poundsWalking on uneven terrain for extended periodsStanding for extended periodsThe use of respirators if required by projectsDriving if required to travel to and from locationsOccasionally may need to kneel, reach or stoopIf driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
