GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Manager, Accounting is responsible for various accounting, reporting and audit related activities. This includes month-end close, consolidation, and serving as the primary contact for the external audit firm. The Senior Manager partners with key finance team members to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting on a monthly basis and with global corporate office to ensure that financial reporting needs are satisfactorily met in a timely manner.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESServes as a leader in executing monthly close and Group reportingLeads team in performing balance sheet reviews and reconciliationsAssesses the proper accounting for transactions in accordance with both IFRS & US GAAPBuilds strong working relationships with business partnersEnsures intercompany transactions are properly identified and reconciled with trading partnersWork directly with internal & external auditors to ensure successful & timely completion of auditsEnsure a strong internal control environment is maintainedLeads associates in setting business and development objectives and providing performance feedbackParticipate in special project work such as strategic business initiatives & implementation of new systemsManages the reconciliation of data between financial systemsCarries out various foreign currency related task thru coordination with the Treasury groupLead monthly close activities including review & approval of journal entriesAnalyze project spend compared to plan & drivers of significant variancesAssist with implementation of financial systems & tools to manage accounting & reportingMaintain an effective internal control environment as required by Sarbanes-OxleyManage accuracy & completeness of reporting package submitted to corporateManage work of team, setting clear expectations, delegating tasks, and following up to ensure completionTake initiative to solve problems/pursue business opportunitiesCommunicate both upward and downward to keep management and associates informedMaintain working knowledge of business operations and activities; communicate impact of activities to appropriate associates and leadershipMaintain working knowledge of accounting standards and policiesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related experience8-10 years of experience in accountingEffective written and verbal communication skillsSelf-StarterDemonstrate willingness & ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to solve problemsDemonstrate the ability & desire to initiate & successfully accomplish personal & business goalsAbility to analyze problems, to compile data, to determine facts and reach a logical conclusionAbility to prioritize & multi taskConstructively challenge the process & take the initiative to search for opportunities to grow, improve & innovateEffective time management, organizational & communication skills (both written & oral )Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management & customersAbility to build strong business relationships in a team environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

CPA or MBAPublic Accounting experienceExperience in SAP FI/CO, Hyperion HFM & EssbaseAbility to be assertive, creative, & results-orientedStrong time management, decision-making, & delegation skills
