Sr. Financial Planning Analyst

SUMMARYPrimary responsibilities include leading the annual budget, customer collaboration calls, monthly financial reporting package, monthly forecast package, variance analysis and ad hoc analysis. This role will cultivate strategic, operational partnerships to drive financial thought leadership and provide the executive team with timely and insightful financial information to manage the business and make critical strategic decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cross-functionally partner with department leaders to lead the organization through Annual Budget and 5yr Strategic Plan.Take ownership and lead all monthly customer reporting and collaboration calls.Financial data gathering, preparation, analysis, and distribution of reports and recommendations supporting all new product launches.Work with data source providers and IT team to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely.Provide analysis and recommendation on improvement of sales, discounts, and gross profit performance.Prepare and submit month-end and quarter-end close requirements. Provide in-depth financial, variance and trending analysis for the primary profitability drivers and metrics.Interpret results and articulate actionable recommendations that maximize profitability to ensure financial targets are achieved.Independently performs high-level financial analysis on a variety of projects. Possess the capability to create original financial models and business cases.Ability to demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and to understand the impact of operations on our financial results.Conduct quantitative analysis including but not limited to ROI, trending, volume-rate-mix, regressions, correlation, cannibalization, and probability modeling.Design, develop and prepare accurate and timely reports and analysis, providing financial guidance and general business direction for influencing business decisions and the achievement of strategic goals.QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solvingStrong business knowledge and understanding of company financial drivers.Strong Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint required; SAP and Oracle experience preferred.Must have excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills as well as organization and time management skills.Ability to work autonomously with little direction with flexible disposition and continuous improvement mindset.Experience working with high-level executives with ability to quickly learn the business and advise upper management as they make critical business decisions.Japanese bilingual preferred not required.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution in programs such as accounting, business administration, economics, finance, management, mathematics or equivalent; a minimum of five years of professional experience in financial analysis or accounting.
