The OPPORTUNITY:

Leverage your experience and join our team as the Agile Project Manager! This role plays a critical part in driving successful initiative outcomes within Builders Mutual. This position is responsible for guiding Delivery Teams in the effective application of Scrum practices and agile principles, ensuring that projects are delivered in alignment with our strategic goals. The Agile Project Manager will work as a Scrum Master on our Agile Delivery Teams, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation. By promoting Agile values and best practices, this role ensures that our teams are empowered to deliver high-quality products and services that meet the evolving needs of our business and customers. The success of our company is rooted in teamwork, the way we care about the people we work with and serve. This role will allow you to do your best work from your home office, collaborating virtually with your team daily. You will come to our office in Raleigh for meetings and company events up to four times a year.

Your WORK as the Agile Project Manager will make a difference as you:Guide and coach the Delivery Team on Scrum practices, self-organization, and cross-functional skills to enhance communication and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products, updates, and strategic initiatives.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence decision-making and support organizational product teams.Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Functional Managers to enhance team effectiveness and resolve impediments.Report on Delivery Team progression to Builders Mutual leadership, providing clear and actionable insights utilized through informed analysis and presentation of relevant metrics.Utilize industry tools to produce key metrics (velocity, burn-down, defects) and report to stakeholders, ensuring transparency in delivery progress.Facilitate and support Scrum ceremonies, including Program Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.Coach and support the Product Owner and the Delivery Team.Perform traditional project management responsibilities as required, ensuring that work initiatives are completed within scope and budget.Develop, maintain, and monitor progress reports and influence team plans as necessary to meet delivery objectives.Manage risks, issues, and dependencies through effective communication with stakeholders and vendors ensuring timely and on budget resolution.Ensure all solution documentation is up-to-date and accessible, maintaining effort visibility and accountability.SKILLS to get the JOB done RIGHT:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of experience in project management, including at least 2-3 years as a Scrum Master.Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and traditional project management principles.Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills for guiding teams and collaborating with stakeholders.Proficiency in using Azure DevOps or similar tools for Agile project management and metrics reporting.Knowledge of software development processes and the technology stack used at BMIC.Strong facilitator with the ability to lead meetings and workshopsMentorship skills to support team development and growth.Confidence to act as a change agent within the organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and an agile mindset.WHY YOU'LL LOVE TO WORK HERE
