SENIOR BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst for the San Francisco, CA location. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be an integral member of the technology team by providing technology solutions to keep pace with the ever-changing product development and supply chain cycle. The analyst will be tasked with requirements gathering, user story writing / grooming, analysis and planning with cross-functional partners to enhance capabilities; building systems, operations and processes as part of a product team; and driving complex omni channel enhancements with limited support. Specific duties include: (i) serving as subject matter expert, with business and industry knowledge, to define the business requirements and objectives; (ii) prioritizing product roadmaps, setting goals and tracking progress; (iii) liaising between product business owners, quality assurance and engineering partners; (iv) recommending and implementing best practices into new solutions and working closely with business users, software vendors and developers to ensure business user requirements are achieved; (v) gathering, interpreting and documenting requirements to establish business rules, business processes, diagrams, use and test cases, and training requirements from internal and external resources; (vi) communicating weekly status reports; (vii) providing expectations for design issues and offering recommendations/solutions; (viii) developing a thorough understanding of the marketplace and competitive environment to create comprehensive competitive analysis; (ix) partnering with the analytics and insights team to understand and measure the impact of product changes; and (x) mentoring technical staff and leading product teams in Agile methodologies. $170,955/year

Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.

Experience must include five (5) years: (i) performing application GAP analysis and process design flows and working with internal users to define system requirements (ii) partnering with solution architects for documenting the technical specifications for ATG Commerce Suite, ATG Content Administration (ATG BCC) and ATG Fulfillment Module to build cloud-based SaaS applications using modern architectures and technologies; (iii) developing Proof of Concept to facilitate applications development using front-end technologies such as jQuery, ReactJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & Ajax; (iv) overseeing and partnering with backend team to define service contracts for API development such as RESTFUL/SOAP web microservices (v) Database and storage knowledge such as SQL, NoSQL and NewSQL databases (vi) strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize large datasets into meaningful insights including identifying key trends in data and reconciling data across various sources via data analytics.
